There are so many good things we will all remember about Mr. Kulwicki: his sense of humor, the annual Physics Party, the amazing sense of community he fostered in his classes.
The thing I will remember most about him is that he was a true gentleman. On many mornings we pulled into the parking lot at about the same time, before the sun was up. If he got to the school door while I was still getting my things together and getting out of my car in the dark, he would stand and hold the door for me until I got there. How many people do that sort of thing?
This character trait is merely one of the countless valuable lessons he taught thousands of students during his long career.
